The Atlanta Christkindl Market™ is the official Christmas event presented by the German American Cultural Foundation as a long-term fundraiser and means of spreading German culture within the United States. After launching in 2016 and a successful second year in 2017, bringing over 250,000 visitors, the Atlanta Christkindl Market™ is aiming to double its activities in 2018!
The quality of a traditional Christmas market depends on maintaining a high standard of the vendor products it offers. The Atlanta Christkindl Market™ is proud to offer its visitors a huge variety of traditional German products, craftsmanship, seasonal gastronomic specialties and new gourmet street food. Products which can be found at the Atlanta Christkindl Market™ 2018 (but not limited to) are nutcrackers, German incense smoker, smoker ovens, glass ornaments from Lauscha Thuringia/Germany, holiday ornaments of all colors, materials and sizes, Christmas Pyramids from Seiffen Erz Mountains/Germany, Spanbaum, candle arches, window decorations, table cloths, Plauener Spitze Modern German lace products from Saxony/Germany, one-of-a-kind-handmade items that can be made and demonstrated on site, snow globes, handwoven winter wears, wooden toys, wood carvings, crib figurines, wooden novelties, beer steins, wooden wrist watches from Austria and more. On the culinary side the Atlanta Christkindl Market™ offers a variety of food such as Brats, fresh out of the oven Pretzels, Schnitzel, Sauerkraut, potato pancakes, stews, Spaetzle, roasted nuts, stollen, gingerbread, fines chocolate treats, cakes and pastries, bread, Doener, Leberkaese, Chimney Cakes, European sweets and treats, Gluehwein, beer and more.
Visitors of the Atlanta Christkindl Market™ automatically support the German American Cultural Foundation’s efforts to promote and foster German culture in south-eastern United States.
