The 3rd Annual Oktoberfest Run was a huge success. We changed the location from Piedmont Park to downtown Atlanta, which made the run more exciting and entertaining.
Over 20 police officers guided the runners through specific marked areas of downtown Atlanta. The run itself was more challenging than before due to some uphill sections at the end of the run. The Biergarten was not only the starting point, but also the place where everyone enjoyed the after-run party with a typical German breakfast with Bretzel, Nutella, and music. Even the sun came out later that morning which encouraged many runners to stay longer than expected. Almost 150 runners signed up, which set a new record. Next to The Biergarten we had many supporters who spent a lot of time preparing the event. With all the experience we have gained now, we are positive to break the record for the 2016 run.
